E-commerce logistics across the GCC has been shaped by two forces: rising customer expectations around delivery speed, and the growth of marketplace selling (Amazon.ae, Noon) alongside D2C stores.
Brands that once shipped cross-border for every order are increasingly moving to local fulfillment inside the region, because customers now compare delivery times against same-day and next-day benchmarks set by large platforms.
At the same time, sellers are managing more sales channels than before — a single brand might sell through its own store, a marketplace listing, and social commerce simultaneously — which puts pressure on inventory accuracy across channels.
The practical shift for most brands: fulfillment infrastructure and technology (real-time inventory, multi-channel order routing) matter as much as warehouse space itself.
